Has anyone done this? I know the trick with the PS files and powerprint request, but has anyone connected or emulated HP drivers to print to mac?
thanks.

The best/easiest method is to use an HP 750C/PS driver and then LPR it to the IP address of the KIP.

LPR is the protocol that will transmit the data directly to the KIP.

See this article on how to do this from OS X.

I would agree with GUEST.

You've got to make sure your MAC network is using TCP/IP, not just AppleTalk.

You've got to set up an LPR queue that points to the IP address of the KIP. The queue name is probably gonna be KIP.

You've got to spool PostScript data from your MAC program.

You've got to have the Powerscript 3 PDF option on your KIP controller.

Then you will print from MAC to the KIP.

I have several end users that are using the HP PS driver without issues. What application are you printing from and what are the final prints looking like?

Are you getting a chopped image, are you getting a improperly rotated image?

Give us more specifics.

the PPD's that are in the XP folder of the KUPWD also work.
use kipgs400.ppd or kipgs600.ppd as the plotter would indicate.

KUWPD is available on KIP's FTP site, but not on the web site.
