Anyone else put the new 3000 paper exit mod kit on yet? I did. Works just fine. Pretty much exactly what I was doing to the original setup but now it looks more official.

We have a kit, but we placed our demo unit 2 weeks ago. We have another 3000 on the way. I am anxious to try it out.

I just put one on this morning on a machine that wouldn't stack more than 3 prints before dumping the prints all over the floor in back. It seemed to work very good and in my oppinion "right now" well worth the money. The mod raises the rear guides and changes the mylar guides etc. Basically they did from the factory all the "RIGS" that people talked about making and doing. KIP should just put the mod on during manufacturing.

They did. We have a new 3000 w/color, just arrived last week and it had the mod already installed.

Glad to hear about the fix, I do not understand how a company could let something ship out fully knowing that curled paper coming off a roll will run into the next print unless guided to lay flat.

I would like to meet the engineer who designed the exit assembly sometime!

When you sell your customer a $17000.00 copier they do at least expect the sheets of ppaper to lay on top of another. shame on you Kip the 3800 did this too you would think they would learn from experience.

KIP engineers make great plotters. They were never known for original or copy handling. I always laughed because that is how the engineers fixed everything, with a little piece of mylar.

PS the best stacker out there is the super stacker 1000 designed by Glen in Michigan. And he got screwed on that deal. For all those stackers out there I think he got a dinner. Nice.

Think royalties next time.

How is this modification working for smaller sheets? (18" X 24")?

I haven't had any problems stacking since I install this on my 3000's. So far it works pretty good on 18" X 24" and smaller sizes.

All of the Kips that are color enabled ship with the new stacker. This is a major improvement over the original stacker.

Too funny.....new color option KIP 3000 and my first 10 copies piled up all over the rear of the machine after the 3rd copy Evil or Very Mad Very first copy drops down under the mylar and bounces back from the new cushioned bumpers and it's a train wreck from there. Rolling Eyes Even wiped down the whole exit deck with anti-static just for a try. Confused

we have a bunch of machines with the stacker mod attached and have not seen this problem yet. The only thing I can suggest is that you check that the wire hoop guides are installed correctly with the long side down and that all the guides are the same. Also what size paper are you printing on? We have seen 50 24x36 stack correctly....

I got a box w/ the mods in it.... the customer does mult copies of sets w/ different size sheets. someone must stand there and watch the copier. won't stack reliably.
