If the touch screen goes into normal sleep mode and the customer touchs it, it will return to a ready state.

However, if the printer goes into warm or cold sleep mode and the customer attempts to wake it up by touching the screen, the screen does not recover. Customer must reboot the printer.

Has anyone else experience this isssue?

Currently, I've turned off warm\cold sleep and upgraded the firmware to 1.2.76.

I've attempted to replace the touch screen. However, the touch screen was DOA and I am reordering a new one.

Yes, I have had the same problem.
If you go into the IPS and Set the sceen saver mode to "None".
This will make it so your screen will not go into sleep mode.
Your best bet though is getting a new one from KIP while it's still covered by KIP.

After further testing, the touch screen will recover from warm\cold sleep if any cover or deck drawer is openned and closed. The touch screen will not recover from warm\cold sleep by simply touching the screen.
