Ok, what you have to do to fix the shading issue on PDFs is copy the old pscript.exe file over to c:\Programs\DS on the KIP machine. Thank you to the guy that provided the on screen keyboard, it made it a lot easier.

How did the keyboard help? Aren't you using VNC, which gives you full mouse and keyboard control?

From where does one find the 'old' pscript.exe file?

I have not had this issue, but pscript.exe is in

c:\program files\kip\request\

I would assume you will want to install Kip 6.0, copy pscript.exe to another location for later use and re-install 6.2 if nessary.
If the computer has 6.2 installed on it, be sure to un-install and check that the kip directory is gone from the program files folder before installing 6.0
Like I say, I haven't had this issue but I am always willing to give my 2 cents!
