|
|
Kip 3000 with MSI Hetis-945 Lite PC running Kip UI v7.2.102 with embeded Windows XP. Recently, when flipping the large black switch on the side of the machine, the machine 'turns-on' without booting the internal MSI PC and underlying Windows OS. I can 'manually' boot the pc by pressing the "power" button on the front of the PC and all is well once it boots up. Furthermore, when I minimize KIP UI to get to the Windows desktop, I'm greeted with the dreaded Windows "Found New Hardware Wizard". Never functioned very well in XP. Anyway, I digress....
Went under the device manager (XP) and it's showing a PCI Device missing a driver. Not too sure as to what this has to do with the underlying issue at hand but it's odd timing.
Any ideas on why the machine wouldn't be booting the PC? Thanks, in advance, for the help. |

Replace the NVM battery and adjust the BIOS settings. See if that helps _________________ Regards,

Thanks a ton, Mark. 1st thing I thought of as well. Did all that and still....nothin.
Do you know what BIOS setting needs to be set? Is it WOL or some other setting I may be missing? I went through the menu and didn't notice anything particular to the machine.....standard MSI BIOS circa 1990. Any additional tips you could grant are appreciated. |
