Back story, this is for a client that runs the living snot out of two C7800's both with heavy coverage. This client runs so much and is such a good revenue stream for us that we have bought whole printers as parts machines to have on hand. This includes old trade ins one being a 940. I have had great success in the past using 940 devs. in 7800's.

With that said our client was having magenta issues I narrowed down to the the dev. What I usually do if it's extensive dev work, I just swap the whole thing. So I had one that came from a working 940 with very few clicks on it. As soon as I popped it in I get the samples seen below. No really pattern and it seems to get a tad more coverage after I ran it for a while but never fully resolved itself. So I luckily had another magenta unit ready to swap and that one worked fine.

So my fear is I can't find any issues with the dev while on the bench and I currently have it cleaned out of old toner. All bearings are fine and while onsite I already I swapped the supply roller cam and toner sensors to no avail. I don't want to take the time to replace anymore parts and reassemble it to bring it the long drive to this client to find I wasn't able to fix it.

A congratulatory pat on the back to anyone that has a good suggestion that leads to fixing this.

Thanks in advance
