When printing with mylar, the first drawing is always followed with a blank sheet that is about 12" long. If customer sends one drawing, it'll print fine, then follows it up with the blank 12" long sheet. If they send a multi-page pdf, the blank sheet will always come out after the first drwing but all others print right after with no issues. Again, this ONLY happens when using mylar.

I could not find anything but I do believe it's a software issue, not hardware. Also, I saw that they were on 7.4.642 and updated them to the latest 7.4.817. I don't know if this'll solve their issue but didn't need them wasting their mylar, so they said they'd let me know the next time they print mylars.

Maybe one of the sensors is being fooled by the mylar?

I thought so too but it seems too consistent with the first sheet out that I'm leaning towards a software issue. But actually right now, I'm willing to look at all suggestions.

Try running the print on regular 20# bond set to film/Mylar. That would eliminate or confirm my first guess.
