Insert an original for either Copy or ScanToFile: The unit detects the original
and it's all systems go, but it does not physically pull in the original and then "original misfeed" is displayed.

Have a feeling the scanner motor or motor driver is the culprit.

Would like to check the motor operation in the Device Operation Mode, but the scanner motor is not listed in this operation. (?)

Any ideas?

I can open the scanner just enough to physically push an original through by hand. When I do that the unit produces a copy. All the scanner functions appear to work except the motor.

Maybe it's time to replace the scanner Power Board where the motor driver is located?

Anyone seen this?

I don't remember exactly but I thing there is a driving belt who's driving all the rollers, is this one is ok ?

Maybe a bad sensor ? Interchange it with another for testing.

I've already replace some scanner main pcb for differents problems, if you have one spare, just test it and see.

Scanner firmware ?

good luck

Yes, the belt is in place, good and tight.

The lead sensor, it detects the original when inserted. The trail edge sensor is good, I can physically push and pull a document through the scanner and successfully scan the document without error.

I was hoping there was a way to test the scanner motor function before replacing parts, looks like I have no option at this point.

Thanks for the reply!
