I understand the feeling about Hillary, I suffer it also. But read on...

Give me some leeway on this, I am foaming at the mouth rabidly angry about Trump and Hillary.

I am a Regan conservative, always have been, always will be.
First vote I ever cast was for Regan. Until Trump got nominated, I have always been a registered Republican.


My uncle Marty was in Vietnam, he came home in a casket. I was way to young to know him, but I saw what it did to my mom and her family. I grew up with cousins who had no dad and an aunt who still has his medals on the wall.
Trump told McCain he wasn't a war hero because he got caught. So I suppose Marty is a hero because he got killed? Or did it have to be in some spectacular battle, not a nameless fight in a nameless village?
I don't care if McCain forgave it. He disparaged every vet, period.
Come on Mark, you were there, maybe not everyone was a "hero" but god-dammit you don't talk shit like that and get to run this f*ing country.


We didn't win the cold war, we won a battle. Yeah, they play nicey-nice (sort of) and they may call themselves the "Russian Federation" but they still have enough nukes pointed at us to sterilize most of North America and you will never convince me they are defeated. I still call them the Soviet Union and always will. That is who they are. They are our enemy. Just last week, in hot war zone, they threatened to shoot down our planes. Anyone praising or admiring Putin is a soviet lap dog.
On more than one occasion Trump has praised Putin and was giddy as a schoolgirl when he thought Putin called him brilliant.

We are still the "shining city on the hill" and the soviets are still "the great satan."
We can polish the city when we get it back and I would be more happy with liberal supreme court justices than Trump's Russian backed ones.


Trump is a moron. He has no place in politics. He is unqualified to the point of being frightening. As a life long, dyed in the wool conservative the idea of voting Clinton is close to swimming in raw sewage. I think she should be in jail, preferrably Guantanamo being water boarded.

But at least there will be pieces to pick up after we get her out. With Trump I genuinely don't believe there will be anything left.

Well said Scott. I guess we're all left to make an unpleasant decision next month. I'm with you brother on Regan, he wasn't perfect but he made some of us proud to be an American.
True Trump doesn't have a filter but his actions or inactions haven't killed anyone. Clinton can't say the same.
This whole mess is my generations doing. The same dirtbags that that split at those of us fortunate to return from Vietnam, with a pulse, are the core of the Democratic party running this country.
Whatever you do decide to do, vote. Your Uncle Marty paid a high price for your right to do so.

Thanks Mark, that helped. Reminding me of the "welcome" the libs gave vets coming home helps with the decision. I still don't know if I can vote for either, but I will be voting. Keep congress filled with decent people. The president may screw things up, but utter devastation is unlikely.

Reagan was far from perfect. He pissed me off more than once. But he did make me proud to be American.

Thanks for your service, glad you made it. Aunt Rosalie had a BBQ every Veterans Day with some of his friends from the war. It is what got her through it.

To anyone else reading this, vote. I don't care who you vote for, just be sure to do it.

Here is how I feel this time around. I not voting for Trump, I am voting against Hillary.

With her as president, think of what can and most likely will happen. Imagine Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Barack Obama. Seriously think of the years and years of damage that is going to be done by her appointing judges at all kinds of levels. What kind of exec orders will we see? What rights and freedoms will be stripped away in the name of equality and security/safety? What about taxes? I think I know what her future plans are and do not like them one bit. As far as Trump, who knows, but I really and sincerely do not believe we would ever see things happen that could happen with her at the top.

I have had a few say that it cannot get too out of hand because our system does not allow one person to carry all the power. Well think about the last 6 years since the house went "R" and the last 2 since the entire congress is now the opposite party. Have they done anything for people or have they mainly agreed with is being done at the exec level? Our courts are now defining laws as they say "they were meant to be" not as how they are written.

It is so sad that this country has had so many make the sacrifice such as your uncle did, Scott. I too have many close relatives dating back further than Vietnam and as recently as 2009 make the same sacrifice. The price that they all have paid and the best we can do as a country is offer up these two as possible leaders.

The majority of conservative newspapers (papers who's reputation I respect) have said he is unfit.
Both bush presidents refuse to back him.
He advocates socialist trade policies.

I am the father of three girls and if that SOB ever tries to pet their cat because he is famous I will remove his arm at the shoulder, with a rusty pocket knife. I will be voting Hillary.
Not as an approval of her, but as a protest against Trump. I will do it happily, knowing I did the best thing for my country.

All I know is that I live in California and my vote for President doesn't matter anyways. Such a hardcore blue state with all the nuts, no Republican can win; ever.

Schillary is a criminal and Donald acts like a 14 year old. She will have you killed if you cross her and Donald with get into a flame war because he was looked at cross-eyed.
