I've got a 940 that gets a consistent jam at the fuser. I've rebuilt the fuser recently in a hope to help alleviate the issue to no help. It's almost as if it's getting caught in the fuser web. Just wanted to throw it up here and see if anybody as any ideas. Thanks! |

Don't know if it will help, but check the fuser tension sensor. The fuser entrance plate has to have some movement. I had the tension sensor giving me the correct reading but the plate itself did not move at all. Play with the mounting bracket for the sensor and make sure the plate can move a bit while still getting the reading you need from the sensor. It caused fuser jams, not quite what you describe, but close. _________________ Any ideas expressed are figments of my imagination.

I had actually talked to another tech that gave me the same advice. I fiddled with it a bit and so far it seems to be working fine. Thanks for the tip! |

I actually wound up chasing my jam issue down to the gear on the fuser motor. It was worn down just enough that the timing was getting thrown off. Replaced it and haven't really had an issues with it since. |
