Howdy,
a customer brought in a Designjet T520 with an error code of B87E022A
Now this error is on the touch screen and the screen is blue with what seems to be a logo as well. I do see a similar screen in the service book but no mention on how to clear the error other than turn off and back on the printer. Page 60 in the T520 book shows this screen, although not the correct error code.

Called Hp and they have no clue except that they want to charge me 40 bucks to see if they can diagnose. Has anyone seen this before?

If HP can't figure it out do you get your money back?

HP released a troubleshooting flowchart for this model if the screen is black, not blue so I'm not sure you have the problem they are talking about. Either way, it steps you through being able to determine what board may be bad and there are several possibilities.
This model appears to be a throw away model as I can't even get a service manual for it and I am an authorized HP partner.
The repairs are problably more expensive than purchasing a new printer but I would suggest you pay them their fee to walk you through those steps as I doubt you'll find any answers in these forums.
