I've only been servicing KIPs for four months now, but I've experienced some symptoms after using the cleaning solvents provided to me for cleaning the developer roller (INX) and drum. I'm not sure what the drum solvent is yet, I'll have to report back.

I've noticed that after I use either the INX or drum cleaning solvent that my sense of smell and taste is greatly reduced. The feeling is similar to snorting nasal spray when I have a head cold. Sinus' are numb, can't smell or taste.

Has anyone had this experience? Is there less toxic cleaning supplies I can use? Or is there a respirator that is recommended?

I wanted to update my previous post.

I have since bought a Scott Model 66 Twin Cartridge Respirator, PN 10006333.
It works great!

Dude Stop Crying, If you cant handle the heat get out the Kitchen,

AS I WAS ONCE TOLD BY A VERY WISE TECH, IT AINT A GOOD DAY TILL YOU TAKE YOUR UNDIES OFF AND THE STAIN IN THE CROUTCH IS TONER!!!

WE ALL HAVE ISSUES WITH EVERYTHING MY GRANDFATHER WORKED WITH COAL ,
EVRYTHING IS HAZARDOUS SO WHO CARE IF YOU CANT SMELL IT IS ONLY A SAVINGS TO YOU, THINK OF THE MONEY YOU WILL SAVE ON SOAP AND PIT RUB, CAUSE WHO CARES IF THEY SMELL YOU AS LONG AS YOU CANT TELL YOU STINK !!!!
