First off, it is not a feed/roller issue. This first happened last week and I reseated all the boards and RAM and swapped the SCSI cable to the top port. This seemed to resolve until last night. I tried a new SCSI cable but it did not help. I am suspecting the RAM or a bad SCSI board (in the scanner).

Anyone ever see this?

I have a 2160 doing something similar. Print feeds out about 2" and jams. Open/close the top and it will run for a while. The sensors seem OK on a meter but it sure looks like a wonky sensor. Stops in exactly the same place every time it jams. The problem seems gone for the time being, or production has given up telling me about it. I'd change out the exit sensor but to do so is a PIA.

I suppose this could be a possibility.
