I am getting a light copy on the right side (outboard) due to a toner build-up on the scorotron. I can clean it up and the copy looks great. Is there a seal problem? Any suggestions. Sorry if this question was already answered

Typically toner dusting causes dark streaks when it is on the charge wire, light prints sounds more like a dirty printhead, if the corona unit is dirty the printhead is too. There are numerous things that can cause the machine to dust toner, but most common issue is a developer unit that needs to be a rebuild, or a worn out drum. Do you know how many square feet those items have on them?

Drum not that old. I believe within 300k Developer unit has about 2.5m. I know the writing head is getting fouled at the same time the scorotron is getting toner on it. Just don't know why. I am going to flip drum to see if that makes a difference.

Have you checked the developer roller to see if it has a glazed coating on it? You will get light prints and toner dusting if that roller glazed.

The dev unit has a life of about 1.9 million sq. ft. If you are at 2.5 then I would say with 99.9% assurance the developer assy should be replaced or rebuilt. The Doctor has a rebuild program if you are not sure how to do so. After you get the dev unit issue resolved replace the M/C corona wire and clean the printhead. That will make a huge difference.

Dusting problems are common... Does your developer assy have the dust cover installed?

If not it's a KIT you can order from KIP.

Also if your seals are damaged that would cause excess issues.
