So I got a call from a customer that said their 5K was flashing E-21. I figured it would be as simple as replacing the thermostats. But like most times that wasn't the case. I replaced both thermostats, turned the machine on and it's still giving me the E-21. I go to the error mask mode and mask the E-21, and it gives me an open exit door message. I checked the voltages on the AC board and couldn't find any, so I replaced that and just installed it to find the same E-21 blinking. Does anyone have any tips on what to try next?
Thanks

Exit door switch?? I would also verify the thermostats are good with an ohm meter. _________________ Regards,

After checking all of the voltages, I think that the door switch is going to be my next attempt at solving this conundrum. I've check the thermostats, and they test just fine. Thanks Mark |

Swapped out the door switches, didn't change anything. I just put an order in for the main PCB. Hopefully that will get it taken care of. |

So as it turns out, the 24v DC power supply board had gone bad. Replaced it and the machine works just fine again. Talk about frustrating |
