So I got a call from a customer that said their 5K was flashing E-21. I figured it would be as simple as replacing the thermostats. But like most times that wasn't the case. I replaced both thermostats, turned the machine on and it's still giving me the E-21. I go to the error mask mode and mask the E-21, and it gives me an open exit door message. I checked the voltages on the AC board and couldn't find any, so I replaced that and just installed it to find the same E-21 blinking. Does anyone have any tips on what to try next?

Thanks

Exit door switch?? I would also verify the thermostats are good with an ohm meter.

After checking all of the voltages, I think that the door switch is going to be my next attempt at solving this conundrum. I've check the thermostats, and they test just fine. Thanks Mark

Swapped out the door switches, didn't change anything. I just put an order in for the main PCB. Hopefully that will get it taken care of.

So as it turns out, the 24v DC power supply board had gone bad. Replaced it and the machine works just fine again. Talk about frustrating
