We just got a Kip 3100 and set it up in a print shop to replace the Kip 3000.
They can print PDF files but not from Kip request like the 3000 would. When they use Kip request there is a message on the print. The message reads. The feature you have selected requires the Postscript/PDF option.
We have another tech 200 miles away that said there is a work around. We can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

Buying the keycode for that option is the only work-around I know of.

In Request, there is an options to convert images to another file format; TIFF for example.

However, the issue with this is if you have a multipage PDF file, then you will get multiple, individual TIFF images.

You can also open the files in Acrobat and print using the KIPGL output mode found within the KIP Windows driver. The downside of this is no batch printing and usually the output is not the best quality.

The true way to handle this is to purchase the PDF option.
