|
|
Just wondering what brands of grease techs are using for the fuser drive gears on the KIP machines.
I am looking for something preferably in a tube to be ably to carry it in my tool box as opposed to a can of something.
Thanks |

I use a general Multi-Purpose Grease from Ames Supply Company. But as it seems, they are out of business. |

I've been using high temp brake caliper grease. It's a little pricey but it doesn't burn off. Good stuff _________________ Regards,

I'm still using the kip 9010 fuser grease called Shinitzu. Silicone high temp grease but I don't know if they still carry it or not. I think the EPA banned it from the U.S. |

Then it must be good stuff. The EPA only bans stuff that works...... _________________ Regards,

Kip had said specifically to not use Shinitzu grease or any type of silicone grease on the fuser gears. Plus that stuff is/was expensive. I am using a silicon based lubricant but I have a few customers complain about the smell for the first day or so after I use it and am looking for something different. |

I've been using brake caliper grease also, but I'm not a huge fan of it. All the suppliers I used to get good high temp grease are out of business. I was hoping someone had found the magic solution. |
