OK, this is probably going to be a general question but since the customer has a 7700, I"ll post in here. The 7700 is located smack in the middle of a 1 city block size factory of lathes, CNC machines, welders, grinders, etc. Average temp in the spring/summer months inside is about 90 - 100 w/ about 100% humidity. Anyways, every two weeks or so, I have to go clean the printer and there are literally hundreds of little black toner specs on the drum. Anyone know a way to avoid this? I'm guessing I'll have to use D-INK to clean it. I've never tried INX and don't think it'll work but INX sure does take toner off the developer roller really nice. |

I use denatured alcohol to clean the drums. Seems to work fine for us.
Using a synthetic wax after cleaning it will help prevent it from coming back too soon. |

I had the same problem with a KIP 5000 that was located in a warehouse. Summertime temps would reach the upper 90's. The problem went away, when they moved it into a temperature controlled environment. |

Haha..I remember my little tutorial on using D-Ink but forgot about the Doc's reply on NOT using INX on the drums. Thanks a bunch. |
