I have a 3100 that appears to have a good developer and drum but not putting out an image from scans or prints. Not sure what to think but curious if someone else may have run into this same problem before?

What i would check is to see if the dev unit is pressed all the way to the drum and also check the tr/seperation unit maybe you have a broken corona wire it could be a bad hvps.

Had this on a 3000 recently. The developer drive gear on right side of frame is spring loaded and meshes with developer unit when you open and close clamshell. It was sticking down and not meshing with developer drive so developer unit was not turning. A little spray lube freed it up.

There is a setscrew in that developer drive that can work its way out and become loose also. If you turned the machine off half way through a print or copy job, look at the drum for any image toner on it, if there is none you have a developer drive problem, if there is toner on the drum but still have blank prints then check into the transfer corona wire assy.

I can remember this happening to me on 3 different KIP3000s and each time it was because of the DC motor that turns the cams that pushes the Dev. Unit forward, went bad. Part number is 9000380072, if you want to go that route.
