We have a KIP 5000 that will leave a lower section of the plan either completely blank, or on occasion print a solid block of toner. We've had our service guy out multiple times to try to fix it, but he's had no luck so far. It only happens to about a quarter of what we print, and then there are some days where it works just fine.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, as you can imagine reprinting a quarter of jobs can get pretty expensive.

I'm not sure but i think your hard disk drive could be the culprit,i remember that it happen to me 6 or 7 years ago .

Change the hard disk and i was back in business.

Sounds like corona wire issues to me. If the wires have been replaced I would look to the end blocks on the transfer sep unit. beyond that it might be the HVPS.
