It has come to my attention that some direct competitor to the KIP product has been using these fine forums to cast negative propaganda against the KIP product. This dealer was selling the Ricoh product ( inferior in my opinion and of the people that I know that have sold it but don't anymore)

Sure sometimes we all vent here. It's only natural and perfectly acceptable as we all work on these fine products. We know them intimately. But it is not ok to send a potential customer here that knows nothing of the product. The KIP has been and always will be the best out there. Like anything else, you need a good tech to insure this. Here on these forums we are all good techs, and we all have been frustrated at some point with a machine. That does not make them bad. Every machine has issues. End users should be happy that these fine forums exist for the sharing of the information and the speedy resolve of common issues. I like to think that these forums have helped KIP expand their market share. Although I doubt KIP management would admit to that. Anyone that attempts to use this site to promote their product by bashing KIP is desperate at best. Unethical at worst. A good salesman should never have to bash the competition. It your product is superior then tell your customer why. Do not cast stones. I would never buy a product that a salesperson had to resort to negative comparisons. You shouldn't either.

I would like to ask for the forum members help here. If you know of any threads that someone can use to bash the KIP product that should be deleted please send me a link by e mail. I will promptly delete them. The reason why old posts still exist here is that I do not do any old thread pruning. Some of even the oldest posts are still helpful to newbies.

I couldn’t agree more Doc. I work on many different models and if I were to purchase a machine, it would be a KIP box for sure. In my opinion it is the most diverse wide format system available on the market and the support I personally receive from KIP direct has been top notch.

It is sad that the competition has to resort to such tactics to try and make it appear that their equipment is somehow superior. When I am up against the competition in sales conversations, I always say that the others make a fine box but why I feel the KIP will suit your needs better are because…….

Either way, thanks for the heads up. You never know who is watching and where you might end up one day.
