Pretty sure my Kip touchscreen is going bad...it flickers and turns off, then on, etc. But it really only starts doing it after the machine has been powered on for an hour or so. So to avoid this, I use the power switch and turn it off when I'm not using it.
Is it bad to power it off with the switch? Is there a better way? I think when/if the screen dies, I'm just going to RDP to it as needed for scan/copy functions. |

You can try and hook up an external monitor to the IPS to make sure it's the monitor and not something wrong with the IPS. Some of the older kip 3000's with the serial #'s that start with 1050xxxx had issues as they got older with the video and would act somewhat like you are describing. What switch are you using to turn it on and off with? The one on the monitor? That shouldn't cause any issues.
If your sure it's the monitor and want to replace it, pm me I have 4-5 of them. Ill make you a good deal on one or the Doc has some bigger ones as well. |
