My KIP 3000 is displaying "kip watch: Internal Print Error" below the normal last line on the touch screen.
What is this error.
How do I clear it?
Thanks for your help. |

Just above the paper drawer close to the right side there is a small access panel that covers an LCD screen. Access that small LCD screen, a fault code should be displayed there.
Let us know what that code is |

If nothing is shown on the LCD, then you probably have a cover open. Check the fuser door and the clam shell and make sure they are closed correctly. Also make sure the power switch is in the on position. |

Fuser door was open. Closed fuser door and applied power. Thumping heard and felt on fuser door (side opposite HMI). No errors just constant thumping. Enough that the door is being deflected outward. |

Check drive gear for broken teeth or cracked gear. |

Not sure who in Ohio, but something else you can check is that the screws that hold the plastic cover onto the metal frame of the fuser door are flush tight. Since the "finger" that pushes on the door switch is located in the plastic cover, even if the metal door was closed properly, the plastic cover could be pushing away from the switch. Trust me, I've seen this happen alot too. |
