|
|
I have had this machine go on and on with problems from the heat roller. I have a double image coming from it and the square footage isn't even up for replacing that roller. Yet i have replaced it twice in a year. So is the heat roller done when it gets toner on it? Do you clean it? what with? What is a good cleaner? Does toner build up because there is an issue with something in the fuser? Too much pressure? Let me know what you all think. Thank you. |

I use "Goo Gone" clean the roller when it is hot and in the printer just remove the fuser drive assembly so you can turn the roller or just turn the drive motor by hand. roller is coated with Teflon which starts to become rough and breaks down with usage. lower density settings can improve cleaning cycle. _________________ Ride To Live |

How many square feet on it?, have you check the heat roll temperature, regarding the pressure try the nip test (it's in the service manual),
other than that maybe it's generic toner?
have you change your dev long time ago? |

also check the pressure roller. If it is worn out it will cause the fuser roller to wear out faster. |
