So I'm fighting with a 6000 at a location 3 hours away from me...on the 2nd or 3rd call and getting nowhere fast. Dumping toner on the right side. Replaced all wires. Rebuilt Dev unit. New drum (new to the customer anyway, but a good drum). Still dumping. Double check...triple check EVERYTHING. Little voice in my head keeps saying "it's always the dev unit". My dev unit looks absolutely sweet, but that voice just wont go away, so finally I give in and send a dev unit to Steve for rebuild. Go back to the customer today and spend the entire 3 hours on the road trying to think of just the right words to say to the customer when I put this dev unit in and still get crap prints. Arrive, swap out the dev unit, and the prints are better than the day they bought the machine. Side by side, my dev unit looked better than yours Steve, but yours put out great prints and mine put out #&$%. While I do appreciate you and what you do, I just gotta say...grrrrrrrrrrr. Smile
