I had a customer call me the other day and said that he could not close the scanner on his 3000. Well the attached links show why. I have not gotten a straight answer on how this happens but we had some fun thinking of ideas as to how.

Enjoy

damn, its amazing what some people will do Rolling Eyes

they probably opened the scanner, and then tried to close it without lifting it up further to unlock it. i can see it now...
"damn, this wont close. i know, instead of me figuring out how to do this right, let me just climb up there, and put all my weight on it to get it to close"

That is why I ordered two, I knew that it would be forever before I got one. And luckily I did because I had another customer mess one up. Seems like such a simple process to open and close the scanner but people are soo stupid in general that they can mess anything up.

I think that they are opening the lower unit while the scanner cover is up.
