Hello All,
One of our users had to roll back his computer to a previous restore point. After doing so, whenever he launches KIP Request, he gets a pop up that says "KIP FT has encountered a problem and needs to close." The application does launch, but won't communicate with the plotter. The pop up appears about every 10 seconds or so.
Request version 6.5.109. WinXP Pro SP3. KIP 6000.

I went to options/find kip printers, and it sees the printer and it's selected. Going to control panel/printers and faxes the KIP is listed. Printing a test page from there is successful, so the machines appear to be speaking.

Tried reinstalling Request. It said it was successful, but no fix. So I removed request (from control panel/add or remove programs) and tried a clean install. Same thing.

The only thing I could think of at this point was to uninstall, then search the registry and remove any KIP related values, but I hesitate to do that because when I've messed around in the registry before I've occassionally created more problems than I've solved.

Does anyone have any ideas? Or at least know what "KIP FT" is? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help.

The things you can do, yes uninstall Request, remove all folder under program files\Kip\Request, restart the PC than I suggest you to install a newer 7.X Request ( you have to install multienvironnement patch in controller of 6000 ) and it should work.

This is the location in the registry to remove request

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\KIP Request
