I have a customer doing a lot of scanning on their 3000 and would like to scan directly to a network folder, Is this possible?

No, the only thing you can do is install IIS and FTP services on an in-house server/XP Pro workstation. Even then you can only scan directly into a specified FTP folder. You can't browes and select your destination on that FTP server. It really ends up being easier to just use the mailbox method.

I have a really small free FTP server that can be run on any desktop that woks great. It has the ability to have mulitple users with passwords and different home dirs for each user. I know that most IT Firms (Having spend 12 years in IT) are overly anal about what is on the network, but I think it really comes down to what the customer needs to get the job done.

If you would like the ftp server I can send it to you zipped up. Just PM me.
