I am getting a E-01 error on a KIP2000 i am working on for a customer and will be replacing the Thermistat to see if it is the same as a KIP 8000 problem. Does anyone have any experience with this problem? I just want to cover my bases. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Also check the connectors that go on the heating element. I have seen those pop off before. I have also seen those get corroded. |

You might want to check the spring in the middle of the heater's fan. If it's broken (bearings are seizing) the heat wont build up evenly in the fusing section, throwing an E-01.
The E-01 is common in winter time, when it's a cold morning, the voltage might drop below 105 volts, and the machine will take too much time to warm up.
Be sure to have the latest firmware, it has a BUD to let the customer cycle the power, cancelling the E-01. |

I have a 2000 doing the same thing. I have the back end torn apart and all the fans are fine. The springs are good and both sections are moving. As soon as I power up, the E-01 appears, is there a way to bypass for diagnostic reasons? Or what else could it be? |

You can mask error code E-01 with mask code 00
It could just be the thermistor |
