new glass, cleaned white roller, cleaned mirrors, lamps and lenses. Still error 5. Remove the glass assy and it boots fine. Only thing I can see is the glass assy frame has a bow in the middle causing the glass and roller to be in contact with each other in the center 12". Anyone else run into this? BTW, the glass is new, but not the frame. Glass has been changed in this same frame maybe a dozen times.

Thanks,

Bobby

You may need to replace the lamps.
When a lamp gets weak you can get this error.

Nothing yet Charlie. Not sure I understand the "why", but straightened out the glass frame and all is well. As I understand it, error 5 is ALWAYS an optics error and cleaning/replacing glass, lamps, marker, white roller, mirrors, and lenses has always taken care of this for me in the past.

I remove the old tape completely and lay down a very good 3M double sided tape, then put my $3 glass on it...lol. First time I've ever had an issue with it. Got the manual. Thanks very much Charlie.
