I have 3 9000's with wrinkling issues on 30"x48" paper. On one of them the Fuser roller, pressure roller, bearings, and stripping fingers are all brand new. This is happening in the fuser because I do a stop jam when the drawing is half way out of the machine and there are no wrinkles before the fuser. If I pull the paper through, then there are wrinkles. I read somewhere to turn off the dehumidfy switch. I did this yesterday and still had the same problem this morning. I am getting ready to check the nip width and the fuser entrance guide. I thought I would post this here in case someone had any more ideas. Thank-you!

For the 9000 that has the new rollers, we adjusted the fuser motor speed for drawer 1. This fixed that machine's problem. I tried the same fix on one of the other 9000's and this did not work. However; I am still waiting for parts to install on that machine. I will post my results.

How about the fuser inlet guide plate adjustment. Does the 9000 still have the soleniod that raises and lowers the inlet guide plate? That solenoid is adjustable as far as the throw of the solenoid. I have had success giving it more throw to effectively raise the plate. especially on 30 x 42 prints.

just in case is there a setting section in the manual for the adjustment of this solenoid?

I had the same type of problem on one of our 8000's. Changing rollers/fuser speeds/paper made no difference. We retape our thermistors so they can go longer and they had been on there a long time.

Replacing the thermistors resolved the problem. I figure it was running too hot, causing the wrinkles.
If you haven't replaced the thermistors, you might try it.
Hope this helps.

Having similar issues with a 9000. 1 or 2 wrinkles that are about 12-15" long on trail edge of 30x42 or 34x44. I'd say just about every sheet except for a few here and there and out of every drawer. I've adjusted fuser speed up and down on each drawer; adjusted pressure of fuser/pressure roller; adjusted paper feed speed; tried new thermostors (as per James); tried adjusting the
guide plate (as per KIPDOCTOR); newer fuser/pressure roller so I flipped them end to end and no change. Any other suggestions?

Make sure the guide plate solenoid is pulled in when printing.
I’ve been battling the same issue on a 9000 and turned out after doing everything you did it was the solenoid not working.

Oddly, I opened up the pressure of the fuser/pressure roller to it's max and worked my way back and it seems to have rid itself of the wrinkles (for now). I'm pretty sure the solenoid is working though.

Coming from a guy in Las Vegas who probably think it’s cold anytime it’s under 72 degrees.

Hey, I live in Upstate NY BUT luckily 10 min. below the snow belt. When we get a foot of snow, 10 min north of me gets 4 feet... But we choose where we want to live so I guess I can't complain. Snow over hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes any day..
