Hey Doc, maybe you should add a General Discussion Forum. I didn't know where to ask this so I'll put it here. I was wondering, about how many machines do you guys think a single Tech can handle on his own? And what is the average pay of a Tech with 5 yrs. experience, that has been trained on every mach in Kips current line-up, as well as several legacy machines? _________________ "Learn how to work, Kid" - BTLS |

Here's a an answer.
1 where does the tech work? Major city Metro Area or Bum F ND?
2 What prior experience and training does he have?
3 What dealer or company did he gain his "experience from"
4 Age of Tech?
5 Married?
6 Kids?
7 does he Fly?
8 A+ certified?
9 Does he know networking?
10 Auto cad?
This is all good questions that need to be answered for a solid answer to how many calls a day and how much pay?
There Isnt a standard , I have guys that handle 2 calls a day and others that better handle at least 4-5 But also take into consideration the types of units you have. |

Number of machines per tech really depends on the volume of the machines, distance between the accounts and the skill of the tech. Some where between 20 and 50. Maybe more if they are low volume and close together.
Pay scale varies drastically. Field service techs should make somewhere between $12.00 and $25.00 per hour. Take into account skill level, work ethic and cost of living for the region. |
