|
|
I have seen this post before, but none of the traditional remedies has helped.
This problem went away for awhile, for no apparent reason, then came back. I have tried everything including but not limited to: changing the feed clutch, DC drive board, DC Translation board, DC control board, the impossible to reach side plate that sometimes has a post snap off, etc. . .
What else could we be talking about here?
I seriously doubt the simultaneous failure of all drawer sensors and clutches at once.
What also stumps me is the intermittent nature of the problem. How could it have gone away and come back like that?
Please help, I'm out of ideas.
I'll be happy to provide any more information that might help.
Thanks,
Martin |

Yes, give me some more details on this condition. No paper feed at all? Does the paper move at all? What is the code it throws? _________________ What we have gained in technology, we have lost in humanity. |

It's not showing any code unless paper is fed in too far, then the drawer shows the appropriate jam code.
When the drawers are shut, it sounds like it wants to feed the paper, the motor engages, but the roll never registers. The paper is not backing out, either. |

Can you confirm the paper is actually moving? _________________ What we have gained in technology, we have lost in humanity. |

Paper not moving, no clutches engage at all.
The motor turns, backs up, peters out - but no paper movement.

Update:
After a whole lot of wire jiggling, the machine is up but who knows for how long. I guess the only explanation is a short somewhere. Finding that is going to keep me busy for awhile, but at least the machine is up. |
