I was given a kip 2710 but cannot get it to print. I have it setup on the LPT1 and it spools but the print fails. any suggestions? |

I do not have the controller, someone came out and looked at it that supposingly works on kip machine but he hadn't worked on that particular model before.
The problem is that it's not communicating between the pc and the printer. It says no roll at the bottom of the screen.
I was going to see if i could find the original software and reinstall that to see if that fixed the problem.
what do you suggest? |

That printer is useless with out a controller with a KIP IF card. Sounds like you are SOL unless you can find a card. |

i opened the computer up and here are the numbers on the card.

Yeah, that sounds like the KIP IF card. Do you have a cable that goes from that card to the printer? |

Is there a software on that computer called Unattend?
If so, open it. That is the print que that manages the prints coming in. |

You might need to have the unattend.ini file configured for the 2710. Check for a PM |
