|
|
3100 installed last month with the new combo stacker unit - original & print stacker.
We are having a problem getting it to handle more than about 30 full-size prints, although it is rated for 100.
The customer prints two sizes: 36"x24" and 30"x42" but the problem occurs with sets of the same size.
At about 30, the next print will not be able to exit and thus will jam.
We have followed the instructions to a T, to no avail.
This is the first and only one of this new model stacker we have installed. If anyone has a creative suggestion or has experienced the same issue, I would appreciate your help.
Going to the integrated stacker is not a good option, because it can't stack enough prints and neither is switching to a 300 or 1200 stacker because 1) cost difference and 2) no ability to stack originals.
Thanks,
Paul/DES |

Paul,
We experienced the same problem with this new stacker. We ended up removing it and eating the cost of a 200 stacker. I will not recommend selling this new stacker unless KIP can make it work. We sure couldn't. Good Luck. |

Just a heads up guys, if you order the nip roller brackets for the Kip 3000 and put them on your 3100, it will kick the paper out further and fix this issue. It takes some modifieing to the back cover. Kip is working on a kit to fix this, which is kickoffs the go on the exit roller. _________________ Can we fix it! |
