went to do the white balance on the scanner, couldn't get it to work at first, like i saw mentioned on other posts, 3rd try went as far as completing the testing part, but , instead of displaying the results on laptop screen, just shows that " an error occurred" ??

why would this happen AFTER the "hard part" already finished by the scanner and laptop? the pc is an old dell 600.

Note: the white sheet for scanner calibration had been rolled over in its bag several times by customer, but it fed thru scanner ok, and is clean.

Widehogs, you say that the laptop is an old Dell, check that the USB port is usb2.0, it has to be usb 2.0 to use with the scanner. Test the utility with a USB 2.0 compatable laptop.

ok, will have to probably upgrade the laptop..... although it DID complete the testing part, just didn't display the results.
