This will be the first 3000 charge corona I have replaced. Is it better to re-string it with gold wire, or better to order a replacement wire? Also, what is the recommended maintence point in sq ft on the developer?
Thanks

Just restring it with 100 micron gold wire.

The developer shceduled service and actual service numbers are two entirely different numbers. You can count on the developer needing service at about 150,000 to 200,000 sq ft.

Neal, thanks for the information. I have a light in the center problem and cleaning the wire inproved the image. So I thought that replacing the wire would fix it. Also read your earlier info about snipping the tie wraps on the imaging bar bundles and about the pressure on the transfer roller. Will check these things also.
Thanks, Alan

Sometimes the 3000 developer will only last 70,000 square feet. If it is light in the center, I always look at the developer.
