I am kinda grasping at air right now.
We have had a rash of IPS Controllers go down.
5 of the last 6 have had blown capacitors on the Mobo's.
It appears to us that there is a build-up of heat because of a lack of ventilation.
Of course, these are real bargain basement pieces of shi.....er, uh...hardware and I cant expect them to last, but KIP (I wont share the reps name) has given me signals that we are the only ones having problems with controllers going bad. I dont believe that for one minute.
We have had 6 over the last couple of months, in each case, we had to order a new controller and its costing an arm and a leg to fix, I dont have the time or resources to continually spec out actual "good" parts for these.
2 questions....
1. Am I the only one having issues with IPS controllers going bad?
2. What have you guys done to combat this ridiculous problem? |

OK, Just read the posts in the 3000 section labled "too many bad controllers"
So, we have a problem.........I am glad to knopw that I am not the only one to have a problem. |

You would think that K Mart would take better care of one thier largest dealers in the country. I feel your pain Dan. I just had one fail the other day. This is really not acceptable. But I guess we are the only ones, huh?
What models and mother boards have you had fail?

| I just lost another one today... MS-7065 VER:1.. I have not been able to find a source for these motherboards.. Please post if you know where to get them.. |
