When trying to make a copy, all that comes out is a solid black page! Then shortly after that, the machine displays a P68 error...which is a web issue! Are these two items related or just a coincidence? The webbing is new and counter (4L) is reset.... Any suggestions? |

The back print probably the best place to start is the main charge assy shorting out. The P-68 if you go into service mode input/output mode you can watch the sensor on the web clock 1C I think. Should swith from L to H pretty fast.
Just a note on that sensor. KIP will send you the wrong part if you order it through them. Found that out the hard way. It has been modified (see KIP TB K-77-029 same sensor) and and they do not have a bracket that will work for the 7095 that I have been able to find. Let me know if you have a bad sensor, I might be able to help you with that or any other 7095 parts got a bunch of old machine laying around.
Good luck. |

Also, web drive gear may be stripped or motor not turning. Web may be installed incorrectly or start wind incorrect causing slack in web. The web can be used on both sides to save some bucks. _________________ Ride To Live |

The P68 could be unrelated to the all black pages.
Change all corotron wires and replace the corotron end blocks.
The high-voltage leaks through tiny cracks in the plastic
and can cause image defects like this. If you can't replace
the end blocks then paint the entire inside of each one with
liquid rubber (paint on elec. tape).
Check all the copper ground clips on the unit to ensure they
function properly.
We had a 7090 here for a few years. Pretty fast box for it's age. |
