Well today my own forums saved my ass. I had spent two days at one of my good accounts in Maine fighting an E07 error on a 6000. I went after all of the common things you think of with no luck. After observing the machine for a while I thought I was on the right track of the after cutter sensor. I was getting ready to order the sensor and spend another day working on the machine. Then I did what all of you do when you need help. I searched the forums. Then I saw this post. I turned my troubleshooting to the paper feed section and found that indeed the error only happened when feeding from drawer four. I noticed that after the paper had been cut there is supposed to be a momentary pause in the paper feed. There was none so the paper was feeding opver itself after it cut. The after cutter sensor must see a gap between prints. It did not and threw the error. I replaced the clutch, (thankfully I had one) and the machine is feeding fine. Very satisfying.
Hope this helps someone. And thanks oldtimer for posting your resolve. _________________ What we have gained in technology, we have lost in humanity. |

the part number for the clutch that was causing the issue is 3506700010. It located on the machine frame near the bias board. _________________ What we have gained in technology, we have lost in humanity. |
