Had a machine giving me E51-8 When I arrive I found the cleaning roller contact on the earth block bent so I pull this out and reform it. Then Machine work fine for about 25 prints then e51-8 I try several thing kept getting it then I pull the bias leads from the board and stop getting e51-8 on start up. Place each leads one at a time till I found which one was giving the code. Pull the wire checking for cuts then check for ground to frame ground every thing check ok. Next step pull the dv unit check it out the one giving the code was the supply roller when I remove the the gears I found the e-clip had come off and was grounding roller to the dv frame. Haft a day troubling shooting my main thing I forgot in my trouble shooting the saying KISS. lol Rolling Eyes

Boy could I have use a hug from my grandkids after that

Never had an e clip pop off, but I have had the bearing on the left end of the supply roller grind itself into mush, generating this error as it turned and tumbled. That one was fun, too.
