I can't find anything in the Heidi driver, Windows driver or touch-screen-interface of the Kip plotter itself that would allow me to print from the manual sheet feeder.

Am I missing something simple?

Thanks in advance!

I am fairly certain only Request can print to the cut sheet tray.

The only way I know to use the cut sheet is to make a copy through the scanner to it. I have never seen a way to do it through the software or drivers.

With 6.5 you can enable the cutsheet in the winreq.ini "AllowCutSheet=1"
This gives you the ability to print one file to one cut sheet from Request.

I have not tried to print to the cut sheet from the Windows or HDI drivers so I can't say for certian, but I seriously doubt you can.

Also, by default you can not copy to cutsheet. You have to turn that option on in the Service menu.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the update, you both are correct.

One annoying thing about cut-sheet copying:

The only prompt the user gets to insert the cut-sheet media is a faint beeping sound from the controller. If you don't listen carefully or know what to listen for you are out luck (most users anyway). The JOB INFO button is supposed to flash/turn orange but often it does not. However if you do press that there will be a message that specifies the size it needs to fulfill the job (per the size & media you specified when you chose cut-sheet).
