I've had 2 separate instances in the past 6 months, where client's had lost power and when the machine turned back on, it gave them a fuser error message. Well the procedure for reseting a Fuser Error on a KIP 3000, is different than the way KIP had us do it in the past. Used to be you just masked it and went about your business. That's not the case with the 3000, as they've now added the "Clear Error Mode" procedure. See page 8-104 in your manual or it's 9.2 in SDS. If you don't do this procedure and try masking it through #6, it won't work and could lead you to believe you have fuser issues. Hope somebody finds this of use.
p.s. Whatever you do, make sure you DON'T clear out the info in 9.1 (RAM Clear). It'll ruin your entire day if you do. |
