I have a 3000 that at power up displays the e-070 error. I understand that this is a short in the developer... anyone have any ideas on where to start, other than replace bboth roller kits and start over... |

Make sure the developer unit is plugged in and there aren't any loose pins in the connector.
Check the switches for the toner hopper cover, the cover not being closed correctly is a common cause of E-070 errors.

usually this code could point to the cover switch on the left side. I just had a 3000 doing the same thing. A new switch solved the problem. |
