Have been working on a machine (running 6.2) where the roll width info. for roll 2 can take up to four minutes to show up on the touchscreen, particularly if roll 2 is the only roll loaded. On the touchscreen, both rolls show as empty but there are no error messages and the roll info. can be seen on the small LCD panel on the front of the printer (the one behind the little plastic cover). If I load only roll one, the info shows up on the touchscreen within seconds.
The customer also told me that the machine would not switch to roll two when roll one was empty, even though both were loaded with 36". I, however, was able to print with only roll 2 loaded????
I did a factory restore from the service screen but it didn't help.
Haven't run into this before and I can't find any posts on the forum about it.
Anyone have any ideas?

I remember hearing about this problem and it has been fixed in the more recent software, I would try upgrading the customer to the newest software. |
