I got a KIP 2200 the other month and am now having this problem when scanning color there will be this this hazish green that runs down scan! Asked someone locally about it and they said to calibrate it, but doesnt the scanner automatically do it? Any help would be great! I'm more of a hands on fixing type with the 8000 itself, not a scanner tech, so to say.

I had a similar problem where my colors were washed out and looked bad. I ended up changing the lamps. Kip has a bulletin on "Lamp Fatigue". To do a calibration, you have to enter service mode and do a white shade balance, then print a target to your color printer and then calibrate the scanner to the printer. Hope this helps. |
