Hi all,

I have a KIP 2032 legacy scanner with controller that I'm having some trouble with. We have trashed the 9010 print engine that was hooked up to the controller and scanner and wish to use it strictly as a scanning station. The controller has 3 KIP cards in it and I assume I only need to use the IF card to communicate with the scanner.

I've tried to reinstall Powerprint Scan as well as the SR4 upgrade, but I continue to get a terminating error "COMMUNICATIONS ERROR" when I attempt to put the scanner into scan to file mode in the software.

Do I need to ghost this controller and start from scratch or is it a K file or M file issue that can be resolved?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...KIP has not returned my phone calls for tech support.

Thanks

Frank R.

I have never used just the scanner alone, but you might want to look in the scan ini file and make sure it say KIPSCAN not SCSI. Just a guess.
