We have a brand new 3000 in the field. 1 month old.. The machine conitually jams in midtransport, only when the paper roll is about 85% gone. Machine runs fine with new rolls. I understant that the paper is more curly at the end, and this appears to be the issue, but we use the same paper supplier for 12 other 3000's with no issues...

Any one run into this? I figured I'de post this looking for an easy fix, before I start guessing..

I had a similar issue on a new install. The machine would drop the roll or jam. All of this happened when the roll was less than 85%. The roll might be rising off the gear. Sometimes they would get runouts of the rolls, meaning it would throw out long sheets of white paper towards the end of the roll. I put the shim in the drawer from KIP's TB # TB-K105-019. It seems to have solved all of the above problems. Hope this helps. If you find it to be something else, please post. Thanks.

One of our techs went out there with the Bulletin you are talking about... but he says that the mid transport shelf (The one you remove from the rear after removing the fuser) was intalled incorrectly.. Not sure if it was a problem from the factory or a problem from transit... So far so good, the customer has been running for a week now with no complaints...
