How has KIP been handling the premature failure of 2000/6000 Deve Rollers for you?

We are experiencing failures between 125,000 and 200,000 sf.

It is very well to INX rollers, but that also costs $$$.

We would be interested to hear your stories.

There is a tech bulletin about this and a service replacement kit.

However The pm to the dv unit seems to work well and to be done on pm cycles my guys have the whole dv unit pm down to approx 25-35 minutes. Very cost effective and works well.

Plain and simple, they have a problem with the 2000 and the 6000 (and most likely the 7000 now) dev rollers getting scummed up. They tried to fix it by saying the the supply roller should be replaced at 180,000 sq ft (and then lowering the price slightly on the drum to compensate for the increased replacement of the supply roller to keep the cost of operation the same, but not factoring in labor time,.....marketing genius, not .)

My feeling is this is just the way it is and there is no fix. You just have to factor it in to your costs.
